How to use business vaults

Shared vaults, roles, folders and password health for your team.

What are business vaults

Business vaults are separate spaces for company or team passwords — independent from your personal and family vaults. A company can have a Business vault (the default) and additional themed vaults (e.g. Finance, Marketing). Each member only accesses the vaults they've been assigned a role for. All content is end-to-end encrypted — neither administrators nor Geslar can read your passwords.

1. Switch to the business space

Each user can belong to multiple contexts (Personal, Family, Company). Switch without signing out:

  1. Open the context menu at the top of Škrinjar — it shows the active space.
  2. Select the company name.
  3. If you're a member of multiple companies, type a name to filter the list.
Switching is instant — no sign-out or re-entry of your master key is needed.
2. Choose a vault
  1. The left panel shows all company vaults you have access to (e.g. Business vault, Finance, Marketing).
  2. Click a vault to open it and browse its contents.
  3. New and edited entries are automatically saved to the currently selected vault and folder.
3. Adding entries, folders and bulk actions
  1. Tap + New to add an entry — it goes into the currently open vault and folder.
  2. Create a folder with a long press on an entry (mobile) or right-click (desktop), then choose New folder. Folders can be renamed or moved within the same vault.
  3. For bulk actions: long press (mobile) or Shift+click (desktop) to select multiple entries at once.
  4. Bulk: delete, favourite, move or copy the selected entries.
Moving and copying is only possible within the same company. Transfer between different companies is not allowed — each company's vaults are fully isolated (data security).
4. Password health
  1. Each entry can carry a health indicator: weak, compromised or reused password.
  2. Open the Health report to see all issues across the business vault.
  3. Click an entry in the report — Škrinjar takes you directly to the password-change page for that site.
5. Access rights

Your access to content depends on the role assigned by the company administrator:

  1. Administrator — manages vaults, members and policies; cannot read encrypted content.
  2. Manager — adds and removes entries within assigned vaults.
  3. Member — views and uses entries.
  4. View only — can see entries, cannot edit or copy them.
All content is end-to-end encrypted — neither administrators nor Geslar can see passwords. Administrators control access, not content.
